Now that I am moving back into the corporate world, I need to be able to post to my weblog from anywhere and not have software on my machine. Should I use MoveableType or leave Radio running on my machine at home and setup the email-to-weblog feature? I am torn. I can always take my personal laptop with me and travel with two laptops, but this is a pain. I can always write my weblog posts in a Word file and post them when I can, but this defeats the timely nature of blogging. Has anyone gone through this before that can lend some advice?

Accepting the job with Wolters-Kluwer is definitely the right decision for me. I am very much relieved and looking forward to the job and challenge. I am excited and it feels right. I look forward to continuing to work with come great engineers and business people.

E-mail failure big stressor for IT pros. For many information technology managers, a weeklong failure of the corporate e-mail system under their control would be more traumatic than a divorce, a new study says. [CNET News.com]

This is so true. Having email fail for even a day is career suicide these days. Unfortunately many IT department managers still don't see email as being equivalent to telephone service.

Everything is starting to come together ... again. I am much more relaxed. I spent a lot of time resting this weekend. Last week took a lot out of me. As I begin my new job, you will see a lot of new things posted here about data center operations, security, systems engineering, and, of course, blogging technology. I hope to be getting back into application architecture and software development, as well.
