Technology prescription for a small biz fit. When Dr. Peter Vonu was looking to add features to the technology platform supporting his plastic-surgery practice in Hampton Roads, Va., he spoke with engineers from Ascendant Technology, who in turn called on partner IBM to implement a customized version of Big Blue's Express line of products for small and midsize businesses. What this article fails to mention are the ongoing costs of this. For $12,000, one would think he probably got one tablet PC and maybe a year's worth of hosted services. What does year two and three cost him? What applications did he really get? I'm tempted to do some research and figure out what it would cost to produce a similar offering using open source packages. Anyone want to help me?

 
Does anyone know if there have been any nighttime satellite photos taken of the blackout on the East Coast? It would be amazing to see half of the US Eastern seaboard blacked out from space.
