Last December I set goals for myself here. I got half of them done this year: incorporating my business and launching my new design. I think that updating my goals on a monthly basis was a little too agressive. I didn't publish an article this year. Maybe next year. Let's keep that one on the list. I will be keeping an outline of goals here.
This is the big weekend. The weekend that has been seven months in the planning, two of which (October and November) were added because of our failed first attempt in October. We are moving to our new network in our Internet Data Center as well as moving to new firewalls (Cisco PIX 535's) and load balancers (F5 Big IP 5100's). We are also physically moving three data circuits. The amount of detail and process that goes into something like this is mind blowing. We have come a long way in the past couple of months. The two months that were added as a result of the failed first attempt at the migration have forced discipline in process and communication into our efforts. It is paying off in spades.
