I finally figured out why I haven't been able to upstream today. My ISP changed the directory structure of my site without notification. Not only did they break my ability to upstream, but they also broke all of the database driven applications I have running for clients. What the heck were they thinking? I'm in the process of trying to transfer my domain name and go to another ISP. This sealed the deal. I'm moving.

I received the actual message that AIM Worm broadcasts:

check this out... http://www.wgutv.com/osama_capture.php?9Kk3

As you can see from the destination page, it instructs you how to install and launch the worm. It is not an AIM game as I had previously reported. It's amazing how many people fell for this.

Here's tasty little gem I ran across tonight in my research: SecurityFocus RSS Feeds. New vulnerabilities and viruses via RSS.

I set out on a mission this evening to see if I could locate an equivalent number of security information sources as on the web as US-CERT takes in for analysis. They take in roughly 120 plus vendor feeds, reports from dozens of private sources, and numerous government sources. It is quite an impressive array of data sources that they take in, synthesize, and produce alerts and analysis for. My goal is not to replicate what they have, but find the definitive sources on the web for viruses and vulnerabilities. I’ve found a ton of great sources already which I will publish once I get the list in a publishable format.
