It took me roughly three hours to get all caught up on my RSS reading. I'm tired. I couldn't think of a better way to spend three hours sitting in O'Hare, however.

Like most everyone else, I hate meetings. Inc.com has a great article on how to make meeting effective. I wish I could make this required reading for people I work with.

The coverage of E3 from Gizmodo is amazing. This is exactly how an event should be covered.

I just got done watching the Nick Berg video. I am sick to my stomach. This drives home what we are dealing with in Iraq and around the world. I haven’t felt this way since 9/11/2001. We are beyond the bounds of conventional warfare. The Geneva Convention and standard rules of engagement no longer apply. There is no diplomatic solution. Diplomacy applies only to nation-states. Our enemy is not a nation-state. The only way to defeat this enemy is with better, more effective intelligence and Special Forces. We must unplug their networks -- all of their networks.

This is Microsoft's bid in the grid computing space. If anyone can address the issue of running applications on a grid it will be Microsoft.

Microsoft is hopping on board the server virtualization bandwagon in a big way, not just with Virtual PC. Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 is squarely taking on VMware.

"It just takes longer to make a program that will make a Macintosh run Windows software, Microsoft reports." -- From CNET. This is funny.

From CNET, IBM is entering the SATA storage system arena with its Total Storage FasT100 product. It will support up to 250GB drives for a total of 14TB in a fully populated base configuration expandable to 56TB. Prices start at $15,000.

This is very cool. 100TB in a single rack. No further information regarding management software or support has been provided. Come on EMC, HP, IBM, time to catch up. The most storage EMC supports in a single rack configuration is 76.8TB in their CLARiion line.
