Grid projects from large vendors are literally popping out of the woodwork. Here's one from Dell, EMC, Intel, and Oracle.

I've been noticing a lot of weirdness with my RSS subscriptions lately. The weirdness I'm talking about is getting duplicate posts or MP3s from feeds I've already downloaded. I'm not quite sure what's causing this. I've noticed it using iPodderX and Newsgator. I'll have to look into this some more. Over this past weekend I actually had my iPod fill up because iPodderX downloaded copies of every file in every feed I subscribe to every hour. It doesn't appear to be happening anymore. Newgator is pulling down duplicate posts every time it updates. It’s just plain weird.

CNET has an article this morning summarizing a couple of recent surveys regarding "the erosion of America's global dominance in innovation." Here's a shocker, "There is still a much higher return for American students to learn to run a company or become lawyers." It all comes down to economics.
