I want my GarageBand.com playlists available via RSS. Talk about the ultimate Podcast. Building playlists on GarageBand.com is so easy. This would be a hyper-viral marketing channel for them. I don't know why they haven't done it yet. I hope someone at GarageBand.com reads this. I'd be happy to assist in development and testing. I was contemplating writing a script that screen scrapes my playlists, but it looks like GarageBand.com encodes (SHA1 or MD5) all of their URLs so that it is impossible to siphon off MP3s. Smart move on their part. With RSS, they could still perform all of the tracking they want. They just have to build it into the app that generates the RSS. |
